This blog has languished for the last several years. I’ve tried to revive it periodically by focusing on some particular item or theme, but it’s never held up. I have no idea if I’ll be able to stick with it this time, but I do know one thing. It is time for redemption.
It’s hit me all of a sudden recently that the entire theme of my life has been the theme of redemption. The act of taking something and making it better. The practice of going into bad situations and pulling something out that is good. The coaching and counseling given to people whose lives are falling apart. The facilitation of the moving of people from sin, guilt, and dispair to a place of hope, joy, and forgiveness. Every minute of every day is about that. So, to celebrate the redemption of this blog and its new focus on that topic, I’ve elected for a new title: ri-ˈdem(p)-shən. Kind of trendy cool, isn’t it?
The biggest story of redemption, though, has been what God has worked in my life. I hope to share some of that with you. Maybe it’s time for some brutal honesty to shake us up a bit. Maybe it’s time for a reminder of where I/we have been to make us grateful for what we have. Maybe… if I don’t chicken out.
I wanted to hit the title change quickly tonight while it was still fresh on my heart. I pray that God can bless this site and use it to redeem some of the interwebs, with all of its filth and evil, and use it for His glory.
and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. – Romans 3:24
