My break from blogging was an interesting experience. I really didn’t think about the act of blogging during my time off. In fact, all the other things in life sort of filled in the time that I would have used blogging, so I really didn’t miss it much. What was weird was learning the impact that blogging has on my day to day experiences. I was no longer experiencing life from a personal, self-centered stand point alone, but was constantly factoring in whether the experience I was having was blog-worthy or not. When something really funny or amusing would occur, I would think, "I should blog about that." Since I was on a blogging break, however, those ideas just disappeared within a day or so.
So, I’m back and have reevaluated the way I’m going to blog and what I’m going to blog about. I’ve decided that three days a week is plenty and that those days will fall between Monday and Thursday. If I don’t blog because I get busy, I’m not going to feel bad about it. I apologize to my mother in advance who likes to be able to tell her friends that her oldest son blogs all the time.
Tomorrow we’ll pick back up with the series on outreach ministry that I’ll be doing. Don’t forget to download the outreach document from my bio page if you like.
